About VeteransHelp.org and how we verify

VeteransHelp.org is a free, independent guide. We are not the VA or any government agency, and we never charge Veterans for anything.

Our rules for every fact

• Official sources only. Every amount, rule and phone number links to the government or official page it came from, and we store the exact sentence we relied on.
• Dated. Each fact shows when it took effect and when we last verified it.
• Labeled when not final. Announced-but-not-final changes (like a cost-of-living increase that still needs a law and new VA tables) are marked Not yet finalized with a link to their official status.
• Re-checked automatically. We watch 78 official sources. When one changes, every fact quoted from it is flagged Being re-verified until a person reviews it. Changes to amounts, eligibility, deadlines or crisis information are never published automatically.

Who runs this site
