What we couldn't verify

We only publish what we could confirm on an official California source. These are the open questions from our latest review. Ask the California Department of Veterans Affairs (CalVet) about anything here.

  • CalVet's State Benefits page uses JavaScript-loaded links and several guessed URLs returned 404, so it was used only as an overview.
  • Code § 18973.1 was cited instead.
  • College Fee Waiver Plan B income limit not captured.
  • SB 888 (2026), which would exclude VA disability pay from household income for the low-income DV exemption, was held in committee under submission on 08/13/2026 (leginfo). It was not enacted, so it is not listed as an item.
  • CDFW disabled-veteran hunting license reduced fees were not separately reviewed.
